Digital Marketing Coordinator, Marketing - Lakeland (Sales)


The Digital Marketing Coordinator provides marketing and advertising support for the development and execution of customer directed digital, social and customer relationship marketing (CRM) communications. The incumbent supports marketing objectives, strategy and on-time delivery by partnering with internal Marketing associates and external suppliers. The Digital Marketing Coordinator reports to the Manager, Loyalty, CRM and Personalization.


Additional Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the scheduling of content for owned digital media properties.
  2. Coordinating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to assist with the delivery of content, testing and validation for customer and associate directed communications campaigns.
  3. Coordinating recurring and ad hoc Digital Marketing, Social and CRM-related assignments.
  4. Serving as the Digital Marketing & CRM Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Customer Care and ensuring that positive, timely resolutions are provided for all customer cases escalated to Digital Marketing & CRM.
  5. Coordinating the allocation of available messaging space in alignment with Marketing campaigns and prioritized objectives.
  6. Preparing Digital Marketing and CRM campaign expenses, processing, and coordinating the documentation and tracking of annual, monthly, and year-end budget reconciliations for their respective teams.
  7. Dedicating time to Marketing innovation and quality improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a business field, or equivalent experience.
  2. At least one (1) year of marketing/advertising or marketing communications experience, or a marketing communications internship with a large company/retailer.
  3. Knowledge of marketing principles, processes, tools, techniques, and marketing communications planning.
  4. Basic knowledge of all current and future trends in digital marketing and communications platforms and applications.
  5. Basic knowledge of digital and social media analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
  6. Basic knowledge of budgetary management, metrics, reporting and budgeting principles including invoicing and reconciliations.
  7. Ability to multi-task.
  8. Project management skills.
  9. Time management/organizational skills.

  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  16. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and working knowledge of cloud-based file sharing programs, such as Office 365.
  17. Basic knowledge of content management systems and project management software.
  18. Willing to work extended hours or during weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  2. Two (2) or more years of marketing/advertising or marketing communications experience with a large company/retailer.
  3. Basic knowledge of the effectiveness, strengths, limitations, and relative costs of various digital and CRM communications channels (i.e., social, digital, email, direct mail, etc.) and their related production methods and trends.
  4. Basic knowledge of the grocery environment as well as consumer and competitive market dynamics.
  5. Basic knowledge of Retail, Corporate Purchasing, and other Publix Support Departments' operations.
  6. Basic knowledge of digital design, programming, e-commerce and web development practices.
  7. Exceptional customer service skills and a positive “can do” attitude.
  8. Strong representation of professionalism.
  9. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and intermediate knowledge of cloud-based file sharing programs, such as Office 365.
  10. Intermediate knowledge of content management systems and project management software.
