Director of Contemporary Music and Media Specialist

Full time 40 hours per week

Salaried with benefits

Responsibilities of Contemporary Music Director:

1. Must be a good pianist with excellent reading skills.
2. Must sing well enough to teach music.
3. Lead music at 3 weekend masses:
1. Sunday 9:00 AM Church (Cantor and piano)
2. Sunday 10:30 AM Gym Mass (Small Choir and piano) (September – June)
3. Sunday 5:30 PM Church (Small choir and instruments, piano)
4. Plan music and acclamations for three Contemporary masses (Same music for all three) - Music is chosen from Contemporary, Gospel, praise and worship sources.
5. Prepare a weekly Worship Aid to be used at all Contemporary masses.
6. Hire Pianists and Cantors for Contemporary Masses. A list of active musicians is available.
7. Rehearse musicians for Contemporary masses.
8. Other involvement in Church liturgies, e.g., Holy Day Masses, Occasional Weddings and Funerals, etc.

Responsibilities of Media Specialist:

1. Preparation and submission of the weekly Bulletin.
2. Preparation and dissemination of WEEKLY FLOCKNOTES - FLOCKNOTES is a weekly abbreviation of the weekly Bulletin that is e-mailed to all registered parishioners.
3. Recruit and oversee volunteers to do Parish Live-Streaming.
4. Professional LiveStream equipment used to stream Sunday, 10:30 AM Mass.
5. Oversee Parish Social Media platforms: Facebook, Twitter (Now X), Instagram, etc.
6. Be responsible for posting event updates and photos of Church events.
7. Organize, record, and post on YouTube and social media conversations with the priests, Deacons, Pastoral staff on various subjects.
