This is an unpaid Volunteer / Intern position.

Job Description

The Grant Writer’s primary goals are to assist the Aparecio Foundation by completing and submitting applications for private or federal grants available to the foundation. This will include preparing proposals and completing grant applications to assist the foundation in obtaining needed finances to continue its stated mission.

Description of Duties / Responsibilities:

  1. Research and identify available government and private funding opportunities.
  2. Maintain knowledge of proper protocols and all relevant local, federal, and state guidelines required for the proper proposal submission process.
  3. Generate revenues for foundation programs and services through submission of researched, well-written, and well-documented fundraising proposals.
  4. Generate proposals and all required supporting documents in response to solicitations.
  5. Write reports to foundation, government, and other funders of the foundation.
  6. Create and maintain funding calendar activities for the foundation.
  7. Maintain communication on the progress of obtained grants with project managers and executive staff.
  8. Serve as a liaison between the Aparecio Foundation and all funding agencies or organizations.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required in related discipline.
  2. Minimum of 2 years experience.
