Position Details
Position Title: Athletic Event Staff
Department: Assistant Athletics Director for Event Management & Operations
Location of Position: Hanover, NH
Athletic fields and facilities
Position Purpose: Under general direction from the Assistant Athletics Director for Event Management and Operations, this position assists with and performs duties needed for the execution of athletic competitions. Work may be intermittent throughout the year based on the schedule of events and staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge and interest in sports and athletics operations
- A team player with leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Key Accountabilities
- To serve in various support roles for athletic competitions, scoreboard operator, public address announcer, shot clock operator, usher, ball crew, and others
- The essential functions of this position are performed indoors and outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time
- The noise level in the work environments can range from minimal to loud during events depending on the employee’s location
