Job Title: Access Humboldt Production / Broadcast Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant / Broadcast Assistant to support our production and programming teams. This part-time position is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic broadcasting environment while contributing to the successful delivery of Cable Television.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist our Distribution Manager with the production and scheduling of content received from community members, government entities, and educational institutions.
2. Support programming efforts by working closely with production teams on various projects.
3. Coordinate operators for gavel-to-gavel meeting coverage, ensuring smooth operations during live broadcasts.
4. Help coordinate and manage televised bulletin boards to provide up-to-date information to viewers.
5. Support the key point of contact within the team, contributing to the effectiveness of Cable & Digital content delivery systems.
6. Perform a variety of tasks as requested by their manager.
7. Be customer facing and attend work in-person with opportunities to work remotely after the probation period has ended.

Qualifications:

1. Passion for broadcasting and digital media.
2. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
3. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
4. Must be flexible and adaptive.
5. Mixed availability for 20-30 hours per week varied between day and evening.
6. Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
7. Able to climb several floors of stairs occasionally.
8. 2 year degree or equivalent in Production/Digital Media fields preferred.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience or coursework in media production or related fields.
2. Familiarity with digital content platforms and broadcasting equipment.
3. Video Production.
4. Customer Service.
5. Problem solving/Critical thinking.
