Job Summary

The School of Writing, Literature, and Film invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2024-2025 academic year. Instructors may be needed to teach on campus and Ecampus courses in various areas.

Key Responsibilities

90% – Instruction:

  • Will administer and teach undergraduate courses in Composition, Technical and Professional Writing, Business Writing, Creative Writing, Intro to Literature, and English-oriented ESL.
  • Instructors may be needed to teach courses during different terms.

10% – Service:

  • Will serve on committees and attend or contribute to professional trainings as needed.

What You Will Need

  • Masters degree in English, Writing, Creative Writing, Journalism, or closely related field
  • Teaching experience at the college or university level
  • Evident commitment to educational equity

What We Would Like You to Have

  • PhD in English or a closely related field
  • Substantial experience teaching in multiple writing subjects
  • Experience developing curriculum for in-person and Ecampus delivery
  • A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
