Job Summary
This position is responsible for design, development and administration of graphics for the College advertising campaigns for both print and digital media. Additionally, this position will assist with printing and photography.
Responsibilities
- Understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.
- Ensure that the development of graphics meets the college's visual identity (brand) standards and client preferences across multiple platforms.
- Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts that meet the college's visual identity (brand) standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of branding requirements of the college and incorporate them in projects accordingly.
- Research and recommend new technologies and approaches to help achieve client/project goals.
- Exhibit functional knowledge of all phases of pre-press and print production, including graphic design and layout, proofing, multi-color printing, and finishing.
- Maintain electronic files of projects.
- Provide photography and print support if required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of related work experience.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous higher education experience preferred.
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of graphic design systems.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of mediums and their differences to achieve marketing goals.
- Knowledge of proofing blue lines and match prints.
- Demonstrated skills: interpersonal, work initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, time management, project management and presentation.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to visually communicate the intended message to various audiences.
- Proficient with computer applications and programs (i.e. Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and follow up.
- Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette.
