Description

The Marketing Automation Director serves Convoy of Hope by leading a high-performing, data-driven marketing automation team. This role encompasses responsibility and oversight for strategically aligning multichannel solutions with marketing goals and leads operational planning.

  • Leads, builds, and manages the Marketing Cloud product and team with accountability for planning and strategy, campaign setup, audience segmentations, data-driven logic, development, deployment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Leads operational planning and execution for marketing projects.
  • Provides planning and project leadership in marketing automation processes and campaign management, including identifying project risks, presenting alternatives to alleviate or resolve issues, overseeing new data and data integrations with Marketing Cloud and Salesforce, managing Marketing Cloud releases, and implementing the most optimal solutions.
  • Assists the Vice President of Marketing & Communications in driving yearly and quarterly strategic plans and goals.
  • Leads the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new marketing technologies to advance Marketing team processes and performance.
  • Establishes a marketing automation road map for Convoy of Hope with a strategic omni-channel approach designed for scale — further streamlining, personalizing, and improving the donor experience.
  • Builds robust testing plans and protocols for the Marketing team to follow when launching a new campaign.
  • Works to connect and drive IT, data, finance, and marketing alignment, with close collaboration to prioritize, execute, integrate, maintain, and measure marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Defines key marketing metrics and manages the process of building visually appealing and easy-to-understand reports and dashboards to determine overall performance.
  • Reimagines and advances how the Marketing team plans and strategizes for upcoming campaigns.
  • Drives success and collaborates with departments on strategy for inbound marketing.
  • Collaborates with the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, the Communications team, and various Marketing team members in campaign and product creation.
  • Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Three or more years of experience with Marketing Cloud is required.
  • Five or more years of demonstrated experience in marketing is required.
  • Possesses strong decision-making and analytical abilities.
  • Displays strong detail orientation and communication skills.
  • Exhibits the ability to prioritize projects.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills in person and in writing.
  • Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
  • Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
  • Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  • As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
