The Effingham Daily News in central Illinois seeks a reporter to cover all aspects of local news. As part of an award-winning news staff, you'll write, photograph, and shoot video for breaking news, cover government meetings, dig deep on enterprise projects, and write magazine-style pieces for several niche publications.
Qualifications: A journalism degree and some newspaper experience preferred. Mainly, we want a newshound who understands why local journalism remains so important to a community.
What We Offer: You'll be working for a company that is investing in news content instead of cutting back – we just launched an expanded "Weekend Edition" of our Saturday paper.
