POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Security Report Writer is responsible for the seamless day-to-day operations of the Security Department Report Writing team, ensuring all guest interactions result in a world-class, luxury hotel experience. This position will assist the Security and Investigations Managers with incident and security reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Protects personnel and company assets by documenting all incidents and ensures a safe environment for members and guests by adhering to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Conduct thorough initial investigations for the security department, documenting all relevant details accurately and comprehensively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with patrons, establishing a rapport to gather detailed information regarding various incidents such as lost or stolen items, injuries, and disputes. Coordinate with Legal, Risk Management, and People Department.
- Accurately document all incidents, ensuring that reports are detailed, clear, and concise for further analysis and action by the Security and Investigations department.
- Occasionally act as representatives of the department in interactions with patrons, requiring a deep understanding of company operations and policies to manage situations effectively. Utilize strong communication skills to handle patron inquiries, complaints, and disputes in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide appropriate and timely responses to a variety of situations, leveraging knowledge of company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, ensuring that all actions taken are in the best interest of the company and its patrons.
- Work closely with other security personnel and departments to ensure a cohesive approach to incident management and reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulatory, departmental, and company policies. Ensure that all actions and decisions comply with these policies, contributing to the overall safety and integrity of the company environment.
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is a plus.
- At least two (2) years of experience in security, security communication/dispatch, or surveillance within a luxury resort.
- Prefer individual with two years of police, military, or casino security experience.
- Proven ability to maintain the confidentiality of the material being handled.
- Previous guest service experience.
- Must have a valid Nevada Drivers’ License and clean driving record.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, and all essential systems and IT applications.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics; review facts and weigh options.
- Able to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information; perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change; manage transitions effectively from task to task; adapt to varying customer needs.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies, and procedures.
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
