Minimum Qualifications:
- Hiring Manager is looking for a candidate with 10+ years in copy editing experience rather than copy writers.
- This job is more inclined towards editing rather than writing.
- The candidate will be partnered with writers. Tech skills - strong written communications skills, Ad Agency, Book Publishing Agency background.
- Standard Hours Per Week: 20.00 Hours/Week first month, then will increase till 40 hours.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Drive consistency and quality of our content.
- Edit copy decks for clarity, grammar, speed, logical flow and consistency.
- Ensure copy follows our brand guidelines, tone and style and has the correct spelling, syntax, capitalization and punctuation.
- Partner with copywriters and other content producers across client to revise copy as needed and efficiently move content through the workflow process.
- Collaborate with the Brand and Creative team on projects.
- Make final adjustments to content and sync edits across applications (Asana, Figma, Slack, Google Workspace, Pastel) to ensure the copy deck is the source of truth for the team.
- Proofread copy decks, digital assets and other content as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional experience in an advertising agency or corporate marketing department.
- Demonstrated ability to pivot between assignments and handle fast turnaround times.
- Extensive experience with The Associated Press Stylebook as well as The Chicago Manual of Style.
- Experience working with tech clients, particularly cloud software companies, preferred
- Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload, collaborating with writers, designers and project managers at various stages of content development.
- Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with both web and print publishing processes and procedures.
