As the Programmatic Media Strategist, you will play a key role in client success across programmatic channels. Aided by Definitive Healthcare’s Population Intelligence offering, you’ll develop exclusive, data-driven insights to deliver privacy-compliant campaigns across Display, Video, Connected TV (CTV), Audio, and Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) channels. Working alongside campaign strategists specializing in search & social, you’ll create multi-platform solutions aimed at solving client’s unique healthcare business needs. This role will own the DSP vendor relationship and will seamlessly communicate needed optimizations, adjustments, or client requests.
Ideal candidates will have a strong track record in programmatic advertising, preferably within healthcare, and a passion for innovative, targeted media solutions. You’ll influence the team's approach and develop effective methods that meet healthcare's unique needs and adapt to the ever-changing field of digital advertising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audience strategy development for programmatic campaigns using proprietary audience data and insights to reach consumer and HCP audiences.
- Identify appropriate channels for each campaign, compiling full strategic recommendations based on the client’s available assets and the expected level of audience responsiveness.
- Work collaboratively on campaign reporting, developing performance insights, ensuring data is correct and well represented, and identifying optimization opportunities (including cross-platform) to drive success aligned with client KPIs
- Act as a programmatic subject matter expert on client Discovery, Strategy, and Reporting calls – Discussing needs with each client and delivering insights via monthly reports throughout the campaign’s lifecycle.
- Develop internal programmatic best practices and training documents around: reporting, audience identification tactics, and industry standards.
- Manage platform and vendor relationships and explore new technologies or partnerships to enhance the team’s programmatic capabilities and efficiencies.
- Ensure all programmatic activities adhere to healthcare industry regulations and privacy requirements, including HIPAA compliance and data protection standards.
Required Qualifications: Healthcare Marketing Background Preferred
- 4-5+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, with hands-on expertise in Demand-Side Platforms (experience with Yahoo’s DSP a plus).
- Client facing, capable of leading strategic discussions and presenting campaign insights.
- Proven ability to develop comprehensive media strategies across programmatic channels.
- Strong background in data-driven audience segmentation and analytics, working with proprietary data to optimize campaigns for both consumer and HCP audiences.
- Deep understanding of ad trafficking and delivery troubleshooting tools working with 1P and 3P ad servers.
- High proficiency in analytical, reporting, and project management tools including but not limited to: Excel, LookerStudio, Datorama, Tableau, Google Sheets, Word, Outlook, Jira, or similar.
- Comfortable bringing new ideas to the table and embracing challenges in a dynamic, start-up like environment.
- Familiarity with privacy regulations and compliance requirements specific to healthcare and sensitive data environments.
