Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Marketing Manager to join our small, close-knit team. This role is integral to the growth and success of our company, combining marketing expertise with technical skills to support our brand, vision, and values. As a key team member, you’ll wear multiple hats, including website development, SEO strategy, social media management, content creation, and providing general computer support. Additionally, you will take a lead role in creating a marketing strategy and innovative brand-building initiatives to enhance our visibility in the community.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Community Engagement:
- Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s vision, values, and goals.
- Brand Building Ideas: Brainstorm and execute creative initiatives to increase community visibility and engagement. Examples include organizing unique events like a snowball fight with hot chocolate, with proceeds supporting local charities.
- Community Outreach: Build relationships with local organizations and stakeholders to foster goodwill and community involvement.
Marketing & Digital Presence:
- Website Development: Maintain and enhance the company website, ensuring a user-friendly, visually appealing, and responsive design.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve website traffic, search rankings, and online visibility.
- Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and post engaging content across all social media platforms to drive brand awareness and audience engagement.
- Content Management: Update and maintain the company blog, ensuring timely, relevant, and high-quality posts.
Technology Support:
- Provide general computer support to colleagues, including troubleshooting and basic IT assistance for team members less familiar with technology.
- Ensure software and tools are functioning efficiently and recommend updates or improvements where necessary.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns that align with the company’s goals and values.
- Analyze performance metrics to measure success and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement creative ideas for growth and customer engagement.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as needed in a small business environment.
- Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in website development (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, or similar platforms).
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush).
- Experience managing social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- Excellent writing and editing skills for blogs and social media content.
- Basic IT skills with the ability to provide general tech support.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
