Student Financial Services, a department within the Enrollment division, seeks qualified candidates to apply for the federal Work Study Position of Knowledge Content Creator. Student Financial Services is located in Carruthers Hall, 1001 North Emmett Street Charlottesville, Virginia 22903.
Student Financial Services (SFS) is seeking organized and dedicated applicants to support the Shared Contact Center in writing and developing reference and training material. The position requests 10-20 hours per week which are flexible based on the student's schedule and the needs of the hiring supervisor. These positions are open to undergraduate UVA Students who are currently receiving federal work study funding from Student Financial Services.
Student Financial Services provides students, alumni, and their families with efficient, courteous, and responsible financial services, while complying with all federal, state, and University policies. DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented student to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive knowledge articles that help our customers and employees find solutions quickly and efficiently. Student Employees work closely with the Shared Contact Center Director and Team.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of the Shared Contact Center.
- Learning and employing a variety of computer software to track questions and answers, as well as enter requests for follow up.
- Follow SFS Service Excellence standards by demonstrating: Empathy, Competency, Responsiveness and Transparency.
- Must adhere to strict confidentiality requirements of position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Have great attention to detail and ability to both be self-motivated and follow directions when needed.
- Be dependable, friendly, and can work with a diverse population of students.
Education: Current work-study UVA student
Experience: None
Licensure: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
All candidates must be receiving federal work study funding to be eligible for further consideration for this position. This is a paid position at $15.00 per hour.
