Elysian Landscapes is a design-build firm in Los Angeles seeking afull-time Designer to assist with the development of commercial and residential projects in all phases of project development. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated and energetic, with experience working on documents and drawings for construction, permit and bid.

Experience & Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor of Landscape Architecture or higher from an accredited school
  2. 1-3 years minimum experience
  3. High level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino and Adobe Suite; Land F/X CAD a plus
  4. Strong oral, written, and graphic communication skills; Fluency in English required
  5. Demonstrated experience with 3-D modeling and rendering, as well as conceptual design solutions, presentation graphics, and written project narratives
  6. Excellent time management and organizational skills
  7. Ability to self-edit work and command a high level of accuracy

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Production drawings of various project types and phases including conceptual/schematic plans, design development drawings, and construction documents with construction detailing
  2. Management of small–scale projects, and assist in management of medium to large-scale projects
  3. Project coordination and administration; Product research, locate & procure project materials, schedule & coordinate meetings, client and contractor communication
  4. Participation in project meetings, producing accurate meeting minutes
  5. Preparation of client presentations, plans, design studies, and construction documents
  6. Assist with preparation and coordination of site inventory and analysis reports including site visits, site measurements, and base map preparation
  7. Conduct technical research as directed and required by projects
  8. Assist with cost estimating, sourcing and purchasing of building materials and services from vendors and subcontractors before and during Construction
