Senior Creative Designer, Associate Director
Our Sales function brings together business, sector, and account knowledge along with EY competencies and solutions to meet unique client needs. The Sales & Strategic Pursuits Organization shapes and drives an integrated growth strategy across EY's largest accounts, industry sectors, solutions, and services, while demonstrating and achieving market leadership through a client centric culture.
The opportunity
The Senior Creative Designer is responsible for supporting the firm’s most high-value, strategic deals across the following scope of responsibilities:
- Developing leading practice pursuit design, driving process consistency, and identifying synergies in collateral development.
- Develop and communicate complex ideas, solutions, and value propositions through compelling visual, cohesive, and persuasive narratives that resonate with clients and effectively convey the team's strategy.
- Collaborate and stretch team’s thinking to integrate design elements seamlessly into proposals and materials, incorporating user-centered design principles.
- Ensure design work across all design assets remains consistent with the company's branding identity.
- Infuse current design and industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to bring fresh and innovative design ideas.
- Be a beacon of pursuit excellence, bringing vast knowledge, tools, and resources from across the firm.
- Focus on the Quality and Risk Management of their work and resource management of opportunities.
- Responsible for the performance and resource management of a team of pursuit designers.
- Conceive and deliver strategic design initiatives that have a significant impact on the firm’s ability to win more, win bigger and win better.
Your key responsibilities
Strategic development:
- Increase the firm’s ability to win more through the upskilling of design team members.
- Oversee the strategy, methodology, and deployment plans for pursuit designs.
- Cascade best practices, process consistency and synergies across the entire Center of Excellence (COE).
- Instill Exceptional Client Service (ECS) principles into the end-to-end COE process.
- Translate firm-wide and BD strategic priorities within COE pursuit design function.
- Develop the visual design strategy that supports our win strategy.
- Conducts client, service line/solution and sector research to develop a creative strategy tailored for the pursuits.
- Attends and contributes to pursuit strategy calls throughout the pursuit process.
- Pitches and influences the pursuit team on creative strategy.
Creative production:
- Produce tailored deliverables and graphics across the pursuit lifecycle on schedule and with high quality.
- Increase the firm’s ability to win more through the upskilling of design team members.
- Oversee the strategy, methodology, and deployment plans for pursuit designs.
- Cascade best practices, process consistency and synergies across the entire Center of Excellence (COE).
- Instill Exceptional Client Service (ECS) principles into the end-to-end COE process.

- Lead a program of continuous improvement activities to ensure the firm’s strategic design approach is innovative.
- Keeps abreast of industry knowledge and trends.
- Analyzes market developments and leads initiatives to leverage innovation in strategic design.
- Shares best practices and innovation from pursuits.
- Supports team strategic and/or operational initiatives.
- Stay future focused on tools and processes to determine areas for improvement.
- Leverage and connect with teams around the firm.
Administration and Reporting
- Assess deal data and recommending efficiencies/change management.
- Maintain relationships with key interdependency groups.
- Participate in internal and external networks.
- Determine appropriate team training focus areas.
- Ensure team processes are being followed.
- Update and help improve current processes.
- Be an advocate and creative ambassador for the team.

- Direct improvement of Pursuits process.
- Ensure effective leadership, teaming, and use of Area design team resources.
- Oversee and manage team development through learning and coaching.
- Be an active contributor to future learning and development training programs.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 15+ years of Graphic Design/Communications / Pursuits Strategy experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience of managing teams/communities.
- Cross-border experience gained working in a large global organization.
- Strong understanding of Deal Activation or new business pitches.
- Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships.
- Must have deep experience in graphic design.
- Must maintain superior knowledge of graphics software tools.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work with limited supervision.
- Demonstrate executive presence.
- Knowledge of EY’s products and services is helpful.
- Must be agile in a high-paced environment.
- Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses.
- Maintain capabilities for troubleshooting technical issues.
- Coaches and supports development of offshore and onshore Designers.
- Performance management of Deal Activation Design team members.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Flexibility to work outside regular working hours.
- Moderate travel may be required.
- No certifications are required for this role.
