Job Description
- Handles the overview of classifications provided by clients to ensure they are correct.
- Reviews import documentation to ensure they are complete and compliant.
- Ensures workload is prioritized with arrival times into U.S. Port of Entry.
- Expedites entries through U.S. Customs.
- Submits entry documentation and/or compliance information to CBP on FTZ entries and other partner government agencies (USDA, FDA, FWS, etc.) when required.
- Works directly with CBP, PGA, steamship lines, terminal operators, and truckers to resolve any clearance problems at piers and warehouses.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's desired
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- Domestic rail experience
- Experience with entries of general cargo, organic foods, perishables, medical device entries, fish and wildlife, cosmetics, and USDA/APHIS
- Professional verbal and written communication skills knowledge and experience
- Sound analytical abilities and acute attention to detail required
- Proficient in Microsoft office products
- Extensive knowledge of CargoWise
