The

Senior Director, Category and Brand

marketing will be responsible for leading the company’s overall PLZ marketing strategy and the cleaning and food business unit business strategy to develop and execute category tactics, product management, business and brand development and marketing plans and be the Company Subject Matter Expert on brands and categories. This position will manage the day-to-day Company’s marketing and all brand marketing execution as well as manage the brands, and marketing, creative and graphics teams and interacts with all levels of the organization

Key Responsibilities:

Category Marketing fully for cleaning and food BU and consulting for personal care & specialty BUs

Category Development

Develop and execute product development plans to realize category growth based on consumer trends and customer requirements Develop and execute short and long-term strategies for business units Serve as a thought partner to the organization, helping to develop and modify the product launch roadmap based on customer and user feedback, as well as market and competitive trends Lead branded product innovation process and manage new product pipeline Category Management

Lead internal teams to launch products to the market, including building campaigns and launch plans. Manage product portfolio, product launches, and gather customer insights SKU rationalization and lineup based on brand positioning Product features, benefits, claims, etc.

Work closely with sales and marketing teams to maximize the ongoing performance of the product portfolios, drive consistent distribution growth and effectively deliver category plans Partner across internal marketing team to ensure programs are executed per category direction Work closely with Marketing, Product Development and Sales teams to build a differentiated and compelling product offering that solves critical pain points for our customers. Create customer specific presentations to endorse PLZs capabilities, product offering and innovation Category Analysis

Research & analyze industry trends, benchmark data, understand cost drivers and emerging technologies Analyze sales data, identification of market shifts/trends that impact the business, and creation of actionable insights specific to individual category capabilities Proactively develop tools and templates to simplify the analysis process as well as the output to the sales and marketing teams. Ad-Hoc business reporting as required such as competitive tracking Company & Brand Marketing

Brand Development

Create and manage brand/product positioning and set brand marketing standards, guidelines, and language Craft brand and product messaging, creative and positioning documents that serve as the keystone for internal and outbound sales assets, marketing programs, web copy, packaging and sales presentations Develop consumer positioning for all branded innovation product lines Brand Management

Plan and execute marketing plans including trade advertising, social media, influencer partnerships and digital media, etc. budgeting, execution and spend Set creative strategies and oversee all branding work Explore the media landscape and pilot breakthrough communications programs, partnerships, and experiences to drive awareness and equity Update and manage product label designs and maintain brand standards Develop end-user communications including website and digital content updates for the assigned brand's online presence, digital marketing campaigns, advertising, etc. Develop and execute promotions – national & retailer specific Oversee the creation of targeted in-store marketing collateral, designed to feature and promote store promotions and events Manage and grow ecommerce channel including onsite, Amazon store, store locator, etc. Brand Analysis

Monitor brand awareness and advertising recall results Monitor and analyze website traffic & growth results and trends Conduct primary research and track consumer insights Manage social media results and sentiment tracking and conduct competitive monitoring Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing required Minimum of 10 years related brand and category marketing experience in a B2C organization Minimum 10 years’ experience managing a multidiscipline marketing department Experience in cleaning and food manufacturing environment a plus Experience with retail, contract manufacturing and distribution Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills Excellent communication skills Proven ability to turn data into actionable insights and the ability to engage, influence and collaborate cross functionally

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $200,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
