Augusta, Georgia Government is searching for a Grant Writer to research, develop, and write grant proposals that align with the city's goals and priorities. This individual will be responsible for identifying funding sources, preparing compelling grant applications, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. The Grant Writer will collaborate with multiple departments to secure financial resources that support community programs, infrastructure projects, and economic development initiatives.
The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Additionally, candidates must have at least three (3) years of responsible experience in grant administration, with at least one year within a municipal setting preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills may also be considered. The Grant Writer will be responsible for identifying and securing funding opportunities that align with Augusta’s priorities. This position requires strong analytical, financial, and writing skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Augusta, Georgia Government offers a competitive salary starting at $62,636.00, dependent upon qualifications and experience. This position provides an opportunity to play a critical role in securing resources that directly impact the city’s growth, development, and financial sustainability.
