Full-Time Position Overview:
ITC is seeking an AV Integration Project Manager to oversee and execute multiple AV projects in a university setting. This role blends project management, system commissioning, and engineering responsibilities, ensuring successful AV deployments that meet ITC standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Crestron systems, installation experience, system commissioning, as well as the ability to collaborate remotely with ITC's engineering team. Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Client Engagement:
Manage multiple AV integration projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution. Serve as the primary client-facing representative, maintaining clear communication with university stakeholders. Develop project schedules, resource plans, and risk management strategies. Coordinate with ITC's engineering team, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution. System Engineering & Commissioning:
Lead AV system commissioning, ensuring all equipment is properly installed, configured, and tested. Work closely with ITC's remote engineering team to configure systems, load/dump code, and fine-tune system functionality. Assign and configure IP addresses for AV devices and integrate them into existing networks. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software integration issues in the field. Perform testing, programming, and configuration of AV control systems, DSPs, and networking components. Provide on-site training and technical support to university IT and AV staff. Ensure proper documentation, including system diagrams, as-built drawings, and user guides. Team Leadership, Field Supervision & People Management
Lead by example through active participation in AV system installations, including mounting displays, running cable, terminating connections, and installing equipment racks. Ensure proper safety protocols and job site organization are maintained while working on-site alongside the crew. Develop and manage daily work schedules for the field team, adapting to evolving site needs and installation progress. Conduct routine performance reviews and provide coaching, support, and accountability to drive team performance. Monitor technician timecards and Expense Reports for accuracy and completeness, and submit or approve as required by company payroll deadlines. Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in AV integration, project management, or a related field. Strong understanding of AV system design, installation, and commissioning. Experience working with Crestron control systems, including basic programming and troubleshooting. Ability to work independently and collaborate remotely. Strong communication and leadership skills for managing client relationships and project teams. Familiarity with higher education AV environments and their specific challenges. Preferred Qualifications:
CTS or CTS-I certification preferred but not required. Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, and other AV systems. Previous experience managing AV projects in a university or corporate environment.
