Description
The Assistant Manager supports the SEO strategy and approach to optimize search rankings across an assigned cluster of brands within the portfolio. This role will focus on search term optimization, search engine algorithm decoding, site auditing, and reporting in collaborating with a team of growth marketers across the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Search Term Optimization
· Conduct keyword research and analysis on ongoing basis and share learnings of current search trends to identify and provide optimizations that drive growth
· Constantly track and analyze the relationship between paid and organic search to identify opportunities for synergies and optimization in partnership with Paid Search marketing team
Search Engine Algorithm Decoding
· Have deep understanding of search engine algorithms and stay abreast of all major search engine changes including AI
Reporting/Site Auditing
· Derive actionable insights from organic channel performance and connect to holistic business trends/activations. Deliver weekly performance updates to stakeholders with an emphasis on how the channel supports macro business goals
· Create revenue forecasts on a daily/monthly/yearly level that are rooted in current and historical trends and key performance indicators (traffic, revenue, AOV, CVR)
· Analyze keyword performance regularly (brand + nonbrand), provide insights to assess impact and to formulate actionable SEO recommendations
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including e-commerce brand teams and digital experience teams, to align SEO initiatives with broader business objectives and promotions.
· Monitor technical audits via SEO tools to identify and address site elements that improve SEO (broken links, redirects, canonicals, indexation, HTML tagging)
· Monitor brand and retailer websites to track competitive search performance for categories and products
· Monitor and identify opportunities to improve landing page content to improve bounce rates and conversion
· Proactively monitor performance, solve problems, and identify new opportunities
Implementation of opportunities / Monitor and improve search rankings
· Determine what changes are needed to compete with the algorithm adjustments, consumer trends, and competitive activity
· Manage and upload optimized SEO copy to CMS platforms in partnership with brand ecommerce teams
· Upload and track keywords using SEO tools to monitor search rankings
Qualifications
Qualifications
· 3+ years hands-on experience managing a variety of SEO activities, in-house or within a digital marketing agency.
· Strong understanding of on-site SEO optimizations, including conducting keyword research and page-level keyword mapping.
· Strong knowledge of standard and current SEO practices and techniques, web analytics and SEO tools (SEMrush, Lumar)
· Proficient in data analytics, with the ability to assess data and performance metrics to generate actionable recommendations and forecasting.
· Attention to detail and results orientation; strong work ethic and persistence to drive an initiative to completion; a “roll up the sleeves” attitude towards tackling a challenge
· Team player with excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills
· Proactive, can-do, solution-oriented attitude and a strong ownership mentality
· Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required; experience with ecommerce / web analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Data Warehouse, Oracle Business Intelligence, etc.)
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $73,150.00 to $109,200.00 . Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
