We are currently looking for a skilled Lead AV Technician to join our team and help oversee and execute the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual systems for both residential and commercial clients. As a key member of our team, you will lead and mentor other technicians, ensuring top-quality service delivery, and help elevate the AV experience for our clients.

Job Summary:
The WireCore AV Lead Tech is responsible for supervising helpers, ensuring the safe and timely completion of projects. As the primary on-site contact, the Lead Tech manages the jobsite, addresses customer inquiries, and coordinates closely with the AV management. This role also involves overseeing material needs, maintaining site cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have comprehensive computer skills including but not limited to: Command line interface utilization, Network Architecture understanding, and Office Suite fluency
- Training and learning on a continuous basis of new systems and technologies
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and problem solve various technology issues
- Lead and supervise helpers to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and is completed on schedule.
- Ensure all work is performed accurately with quality craftsmanship.
- Act as the on-site liaison between the AV management and customers, handling inquiries and resolving issues.
- Coordinate material needs with the Warehouse Director and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site.
- Follow all company policies, especially regarding vehicle use and job site conduct.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in AV work or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to be insured under company vehicle insurance policy.
- Physical capability to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Strong verbal communication and leadership skills.
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance.
- Prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces.
- Frequent ladder use and work at heights.
- Regular bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
- Frequent use of hands for tools and precision work.
- Good vision and hearing required; use of PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection, is mandatory.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
Safety Requirements:
- Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
- Report hazards and follow safe work practices.
Work Environment:
Indoors and outdoors in various settings, exposed to extreme weather, confined spaces, and high elevations.
- Protective equipment is required in noisy, dusty, or hazardous environments.
- Work may involve tight spaces and handling heavy tools.
- Overtime, weekend, and emergency work may be required.
