You’ll be responsible for making sure each project runs efficiently from pre-production to execution, troubleshooting any logistical challenges along the way. While mostly remote, you may be required to be on set in Austin or travel to other locations when necessary.

This is a part-time position to start, as we already have someone in this role but need additional support for specific projects. As our agency grows, this position will evolve into a full-time role. The job is task-based with a flexible schedule, allowing you to work at your own pace while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Take over a project once the script is locked, ensuring all logistics are finalized before production begins.
  • Handle all production logistics, including hiring crew, booking locations, securing equipment, and managing schedules.
  • Manage project budgets and negotiate rates with freelancers and vendors.
  • Coordinate with local producers and production coordinators, ensuring they have everything needed for a successful shoot.
  • Oversee timelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure productions stay on track and within budget.
  • Be a problem solver, anticipating and resolving logistical challenges under pressure.
  • Occasionally be on set to supervise production, especially for Austin-based shoots or key projects requiring travel.
  • Represent the company professionally on set, ensuring our brand values are upheld.
  • Work closely with our Project Manager to execute seamless productions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in commercial video production, with experience handling production logistics and coordinating commercial shoots.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Experience negotiating rates and working with freelance crew.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while staying organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership of projects and ensures all moving parts are accounted for.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday, Slack) is a plus.
