Technical Writer

About The Role

We are seeking a talented and creative individual with a passion for clear communication and a knack for translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly content. Develop comprehensive documentation and engaging learning materials for our cutting-edge test automation tool. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and training specialists to ensure all content is accurate, informative, and caters to the needs of our diverse user base.

Responsibilities

1. Develop user guides, tutorials, FAQs, and other technical documentation for the test automation tool.
2. Collaborate with engineers to understand the functionality of the tool and ensure documentation accuracy.
3. Write clear, concise, and user-friendly content that caters to users with varying technical skill levels.
4. Maintain consistency with style guides and ensure content adheres to best practices for technical writing.
5. Manage and update existing documentation based on new features, bug fixes, and user feedback.
6. Design and develop engaging learning materials, including storyboards for video tutorials, interactive modules, and hands-on exercises, for the test automation tool.
7. Work closely with the teams to identify learning objectives and target audiences.
8. Utilize instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences that promote knowledge retention and skill development.
9. Develop assessments to measure learner comprehension and identify areas for improvement.
10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in eLearning.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Instructional Design, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a technical writer or instructional designer.
3. Strong understanding of software development and testing processes.
4. Excellent writing and editing skills with a proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise language.
5. Experience with working with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
6. Experience creating video tutorials or other multimedia content.
7. Strong project management and organizational skills.
8. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
