This position qualifies for an annual bonus of up to 20%. Job Summary: The Vice President of Marketing and Entertainment is responsible for driving organizational growth for the Company's casino gaming, racing and event and entertainment businesses that draws more than 1M guests annually. This leadership role involves direct oversight of marketing programs, database and loyalty initiatives, sponsorships, live racing promotions, entertainment and events, guest services and box office functions, and creative services. The position emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and execution of strategic plans in alignment with Canterbury Park's core values to enhance brand value and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Responsible for supporting the Company's mission, vision, and values and providing fun and games like no place else. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead by example. Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times. Create high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, delegates effectively and coaches and mentors direct reports for growth opportunities. Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic marketing and operational plans designed to grow revenue. Lead overall creative and communication efforts to create consistent and compelling brand representation across all platforms, events, and marketing campaigns. Oversee Canterbury Park's gaming rewards, retention and reinvestment programs to foster long-term customer loyalty. Enhance Canterbury Park's digital presence and leverage emerging technologies for marketing and operational benefits. Lead the development and execution of signature events, entertainment and promotional initiatives to boost attendance and revenue. Oversee the integration and fulfillment of corporate partnerships to enhance brand value and guest experience. Lead guest services, box office and merchandizing efforts and pricing strategies. Foster cross-departmental collaboration to enhance customer experiences. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive marketing, operational, or event management leadership experience. Strong leadership and organizational skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Must pass pre-employment screening and qualify for a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of horse racing, entertainment and events, card casino gaming, and/or media buying. Experience managing large-scale partnerships and sponsorship initiatives.
