Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Creative Director Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Creative Director to bring our brand to life through social media, marketing initiatives, and an array of creative projects. You will play an integral role in shaping our community engagement and inspiring our customers to explore our offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Management:
    • Support the creation, scheduling, and posting of engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook.
    • Foster engagement with followers by timely responses to comments and direct messages.
    • Collaborate on innovative ideas for reels, stories, and posts, showcasing our products, seasonal offerings, and behind-the-scenes glimpses.
  2. Marketing Support:
    • Assist in the development and execution of email campaigns, newsletters, and promotional content.
    • Contribute to brainstorming and implementing strategies to promote events and seasonal specials.
    • Aid in maintaining and updating website content to accurately reflect our brand.
  3. Graphic Design:
    • Produce visually appealing graphics for social media, email campaigns, and in-store displays.
    • Ensure brand consistency throughout all marketing materials and platforms.
  4. Content Creation:
    • Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos of our products, events, and café ambiance.
    • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to transform creative concepts into visual reality.
  5. Administrative Tasks:
    • Assist in managing content calendars to meet project deadlines effectively.
    • Organize project files, assets, and materials to facilitate seamless workflows.
  6. Brand Engagement:
    • Stay informed on industry trends, social media best practices, and creative tools.
    • Work with the team to brainstorm fresh ideas for engaging our customers and sharing our brand narrative.

Qualifications

  1. Proficiency with social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook.
  2. Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) and website platforms (e.g., Squarespace, Shopify).
  3. Basic graphic design abilities utilizing Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  4. Strong photography and videography skills, including editing.
  5. A genuine enthusiasm for coffee, culinary arts, and community building.
  6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Strong organizational capabilities with the aptitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. A creative perspective with an eye for aesthetics and brand coherence.

Preferred Skills

  1. Experience with SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
  2. Background in hospitality, food, or beverage sectors is advantageous.
  3. Capability to work autonomously while also thriving as a team collaborator.

Hours & Compensation

  1. This position may be part-time or full-time, contingent on availability and experience.
  2. Flexible scheduling with the potential for remote work opportunities.
  3. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.

  1. Starting pay is $25 per hour, based on experience.
  2. Benefits include sick time, health insurance options, and a 401(k) matching program.
  3. Candidates should be located in or willing to relocate to San Diego County.
