Position Communications Leading Hand Work Location Jundee Operations Roster 8 days on, 6 days off - FIFO ex Perth Here’s what awaits you:
Develop systems governance including recommendation about setup, configuration, network performance, and equipment status. Test and troubleshoot communications systems using specialised RF testing tools. Assist with scheduled and un-scheduled repairs and maintenance of RF communications equipment. Coordinate and oversee software upgrades, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruptions to operations. Subject matter expert in system design, upgrades, and the evaluation of new technologies. Lead, coach, mentor, and train Communications Technicians and Apprentices. To thrive in this role, you’ll needExperience: Practical experience working in underground mining as an RF Technician with a focus on VHF, UHF communication systems, Leaky Feeder, Digital Drift, Wi-Fi, Microwave, Seismic, Miri telemetry, RFoF, Motorola DMR Radio, Dyno BlastWeb, equipment and personnel tracking, vehicle proximity systems, VOD, Citect SCADA, AB PLC, satellite TV/digital systems, CCTV, fibre optic deployment. Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Cert 3 or 4 in equivalent field. ACMA open cabling licence with relevant endorsements. Restricted Electrical License. Working at Heights. Discover the perks of working at Northern Star…
