Our client, a leading provider of smart home security devices, is part of a major online retail/e-commerce brand. They are seeking a contract Social Producer to oversee and manage various projects for campaigns targeting both the US and select international markets. This role will involve driving the creation of social, digital, video, TV, and audio content, ensuring each project meets its scope, timeline, and budget requirements. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and self-driven individual with significant experience in both production and post-production processes. They should be well-versed in creating content across key platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok. The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on creative problem-solving and adaptability is essential. Comfort with uncertainty and the ability to manage ambiguity will be vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of project scopes, timelines, budgets, and staffing plans for social, digital video, TV, and audio content, both paid and organic.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners throughout the production process.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction and ensure the highest quality of final output.
- Act as the videographer for onsite shoots, capturing both stills and video content tailored for social-first formats.
- Provide necessary video, audio, lighting, and editing equipment for shoots and editorial tasks when required.
- Identify and evaluate vendors who can elevate the quality of production.
- Negotiate bids and work closely with vendors for video production, editorial, post-production, and music services.
- Manage legal, talent, and music vendor relationships, ensuring smooth financial and licensing processes.
- Guide the bidding process to ensure financial aspects are handled efficiently.
- Maintain clear communication regarding project progress with internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Identify potential project risks and escalate issues as needed.
- Monitor any out-of-scope requests and initiate additional estimates and approvals.
- Support global teams in creating video assets for international markets.
- Oversee vendor-related paperwork such as NDAs, contracts, and advance requests, and manage the invoicing process.
- Provide input during brainstorming sessions to ensure ideas are practical and executable.
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere for video editing.
- Familiarity with CapCut or similar social video editing tools.
- Knowledge of photography and CGI render workflows.
- Strong bias for action and results.
- Ownership mindset and accountability.
- Ability to work efficiently within budget constraints.
- Experience creating content with a smartphone.
- Duration: 4-month contract.
- Location: Remote (EST).
