Role Summary:
The Director of Marketing Strategy will lead the marketing initiatives for both Meriwether Corporate and portfolio resorts, focusing on private club outreach and residential real estate promotions. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with Meriwether partners to craft and execute innovative marketing strategies that enhance the financial performance of the company and its properties. You will take charge of brand development and oversee marketing activities across our diverse portfolio, managing creative and digital media efforts, as well as brand and marketing technology systems. You will also serve as the key contact with third-party agencies and our in-house Director of Real Estate Sales.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Direction:
Lead the overall creative development for all corporate materials, ensuring alignment with the brand's vision across presentations, templates, social media, and web platforms. Digital Media Strategy:
Develop and implement effective digital media strategies to boost engagement and brand awareness for each property in the Meriwether portfolio. Agency Management:
Supervise third-party creative agencies, ensuring that all outputs meet brand standards and project expectations. Real Estate Sales Support:
Create targeted marketing strategies and materials to support real estate sales initiatives and help teams set up tracking systems through various CRM platforms. Brand Integrity & Design:
Collaborate with project teams to craft design elements that reinforce brand integrity while meeting corporate objectives. Brand Standards & Objectives:
Work with property General Managers to set and uphold specific brand standards and marketing goals at the property level, both annually and for special projects. Graphic Design Creation:
Contribute to the production of high-quality graphic design elements at the property level that align with brand standards. Digital Media Asset Management:
Oversee the management of all digital media assets, including website content and social media profiles for Meriwether and its portfolio companies. Marketing Performance Reporting:
Lead the creation of regular reports on marketing performance metrics, identifying opportunities for enhancement and optimization. Qualifications and Experience: Education & Credentials:
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required; additional certifications in digital marketing or design are advantageous. Experience:
At least 5 years of marketing experience, specifically in resort marketing, graphic design, and digital media management. Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in graphic design tools and marketing technologies like CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and Google Analytics. Industry Expertise:
Previous experience in resort hospitality, such as private clubs, destination resorts, or hotels, is preferred. Communication Skills:
Strong writing and communication abilities across various channels, with a knack for creating engaging content for diverse audiences. Travel Commitment:
This role is based in San Diego, CA, and requires considerable travel to multiple properties and projects. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while working on computers or attending meetings. Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, to project and property locations. Capability to navigate various environments, including resorts, hotels, and construction sites, involving occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting (up to 40 pounds). Strong visual acuity for reviewing marketing materials and reports thoroughly. Effective verbal and written communication skills for in-person, phone, and video interactions.
