About the Role
Bluestaq is seeking a talented and versatile UI/UX Designer, Software Engineer to shape the visual identity and user experience across our platforms. This role goes beyond aesthetics-you will play a critical role in long-term branding, product refinement, and user-focused design strategies.
We're looking for a creative thinker who can balance design innovation, user research, and technical collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a unique perspective to UI/UX that shifts conversations from just visuals to competitive advantage and user-focused solutions.

What You'll Do
Branding & Design Systems - Develop and maintain style guides, ensuring consistency across Bluestaq's UI/UX
Logos & Iconography - Create and refine icons and branding elements to support Bluestaq's visual identity
Website Management - Maintain and update the Bluestaq website, ensuring it aligns with company goals
UX Research & Enhancements - Review existing UIs, propose improvements, and develop strategies based on user feedback
Responsive & Accessible Design - Ensure optimal usability across desktop and mobile
Wireframes & User Flows - Develop intuitive user flows and wireframes for new features and UIs
Quality Assurance - Collaborate with the engineering team to review style, placement, and user flows
Engineering Collaboration - Assist with front-end cosmetic enhancements and UI refinements
Infographics & Visuals - Create infographics and diagrams to visually communicate complex concepts
What You Bring
Proven experience in UI/UX design using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, or Figma)
Strong sense of aesthetics & attention to detail - Pixel-perfect execution is a must
Experience with responsive design for both desktop and mobile
Wireframing, prototyping, and user flows - Ability to create intuitive, seamless experiences
HTML & CSS expertise - You understand the technical aspects of design
Web development knowledge (Angular experience is a plus but not required)

Staff UI/UX Software Engineer
Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 . Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
Required Education: 6+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Principal UI/UX Software Engineer
Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $192,000 . Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
Required Education: 12+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. US citizenship is required to be eligible for a clearance, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
