PLMJob Description***Only qualified Service Engineer candidates located near the Manhattan, NY area to be considered due to the position requiring a 100% onsite presence***Our client is the world's largest intimates' specialty retailer offering a wide assortment of modern, fashion-inspired collections including signature bras, panties, lingerie, casual sleepwear, swim and athleisure, as well as award-winning prestige fragrances and body care.In this role, our client is seeking to fill a Senior Technical Designer position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit.Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experienceRequired Experience: 5+ years' experience in technical design with Women's intimates' apparel and/or swimwear Experience with participating or owned their own fittings Must be able to write up fit comments & pattern corrections Must have centric training Must be proficient with Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and Flex PLMRequired Soft Skills: Flexible Problem solver Supportive Ability to maintain composure in a stressful situationAdditional Required Qualifications: Must be local to the Manhattan, NY area and able to work onsiteSenior Technical Designer Responsibilities:Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit. Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price Typically reports to Technical Services Manager.
