$75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
The Senior Media Planner will be a strategic and hands-on contributor responsible for creating, analyzing, and presenting media plans and reports. This role requires advanced Excel skills, experience in client-facing presentations, and a passion for mentorship. The ideal candidate is solutions-oriented, accountable, and eager to grow into a leadership position as a Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive media plans across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data, create performance dashboards, and develop actionable insights.
- Craft detailed POVs for clients on emerging industry opportunities and media trends.
- Prepare and deliver insightful and actionable presentations and performance report decks to clients.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback to help with their development.
- Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop media plan recommendations with the proper campaign KPIs.
- Address client & campaign challenges with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, ensuring accountability and project success.
- Keep a pulse on industry trends, tools, and best practices, applying new insights to enhance media planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience in media planning, buying, or a related role within an agency environment.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, v-lookups, complex formulas) and strong working knowledge and application of media math.
- Experience preparing client-facing presentations and performance reports using tools like PowerPoint or Google Slides.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and observations.
- Passion to mentor and manage junior staff, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and open dialogue work environment.
- Self-starter with limited direction needed demonstrating exceptional organizational and time-management skills, able to work independently and within teams.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of media platforms such as DCM, Nielsen AdIntel, Pathmatics, Meta, Snapchat, Google, TikTok, Strata.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications.
- This is a senior planning position requiring a candidate who has 3-5 years planning experience.
