As an Associate Media Director, you'll lead the development and execution of cross-channel media strategies, ensuring they align with client objectives and resonate with their target audiences. You'll oversee a team, collaborate with internal and external partners, and help drive results in an ever-evolving media landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
Develop cross-channel media strategies, including TV, radio, digital, social, programmatic, and more.
Use consumer insights, competitive analysis, and historical data to craft thoughtful media plans.
Evaluate media proposals and provide expert recommendations.
Execution and Optimization:
Manage media plans from development to execution, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with teams on campaign setup, trafficking, and performance measurement.
Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations to meet key objectives.
Oversee budgets and address any billing discrepancies.
Client Leadership:
Serve as the primary media contact for clients, presenting strategies and insights effectively.
Stay on top of media trends and provide proactive recommendations to help clients innovate.
Work closely with internal teams (strategy, creative, analytics) to ensure alignment and integration.
Team Development:
Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 planners, fostering growth and accountability.
Help define the vision for the media department and inspire your team to achieve it.
Qualifications:
6+ years of media planning experience, with 3+ years in an agency environment preferred.
Proficient in traditional and digital media, with expertise in tools like ComScore, Prisma, and analytics platforms.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams.
