FOCUS is a dynamic organization dedicated to forming Catholic missionaries rooted in Church teaching, prayer, Scripture, and evangelization. With a strong commitment to innovation and formation, we are launching a new video production department under marketing to amplify our brand's reach across existing and emerging platforms.
Position Mission
The Director of Video Services will play a critical role in the creation, management, and delivery of video & audio content for FOCUS content initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of video and audio production, from concept through to final delivery, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the organization's goals. As this is a new department within the marketing division, the Director of Video Services will have a unique opportunity to shape the direction, structure, and growth of the team
Position Responsibilities
Video Production Leadership:
• Lead the creation, planning, and execution of all video production projects for FOCUS content, marketing campaigns, and other platforms (e.g., social media, digital advertising, podcasts, live streaming, webinars, etc.).
• Oversee pre-production, production, and post-production phases, ensuring high-quality content is produced that reflects FOCUS's needs, brand, and values.
• Provide creative direction for all FOCUS video products.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, platforms, design, etc.) to align content strategies with business objectives.
Team & Project Management:
• Build and lead a team of producers, editors, videographers, and other video production staff, ensuring smooth operations across all stages of production.
• Manage external production partners, freelancers, and contractors as needed.
• Develop and manage production budgets, timelines, and resources for multiple concurrent projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining high production standards.
• Lead the expansion and build-out of FOCUS studios' production facilities. Oversee facility management, including equipment procurement, studio maintenance, and ensuring the space meets the technical and creative needs for ongoing productions.
Content Strategy:
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement content strategies that support FOCUS' mission and marketing goals.
• Stay current with video production trends and best practices, particularly in marketing and new/emerging platforms.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content strategies that connect with target audiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to expand our video content offerings across new platforms and introduce creative formats.
Quality Control & Brand Consistency:
• Oversee quality control during the editing and post-production processes, maintaining high standards of audio, visual, and narrative storytelling.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that all video content produced aligns with FOCUS's brand identity and messaging.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Act as the primary point of contact between video production and key internal stakeholders, ensuring their vision and objectives are met.
• Present concepts, storyboards, and finished videos to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
Qualifications
Compensation & Benefits
For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - $120,000/year. (This role is also eligible for bonus pay.) This range is an estimate. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the provided range and will be adjusted based on various factors including qualifications, experience, abilities, geographic location, and duties.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in film, media production, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in video production, with a focus on marketing content
- Proven leadership experience, including team building and project management
- Strong understanding of video production techniques, equipment, and post-production processes
- Proficiency in critical phases of the filmmaking process, such as filming, editing, sound design, etc.
- Experience producing content for a variety of platforms
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- A passion for creativity, innovation, and storytelling in the context of brand marketing
- Experience working within a production company or studio
- Experience with budgeting and managing production teams
