About the Job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Lead to spearhead strategic marketing initiatives, manage defense trade shows and corporate events, and oversee brand communications. This role is responsible for driving brand awareness, managing social media engagement, executing marketing campaigns, and ensuring consistency across all marketing collateral. The ideal candidate will have experience in event coordination, digital marketing, and public relations within the defense or technology sectors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Trade Show and Event Management: Manage defense trade shows and corporate events, overseeing booth design, logistics, vendor relationships, and on-site execution. Develop event strategies to maximize brand exposure and engagement.
  • Marketing Campaign Management: Plan, develop, and execute integrated marketing campaigns that align with company objectives. Work with cross-functional teams to create compelling content and promotional strategies. Track and analyze campaign performance to optimize engagement, lead generation, and ROI.
  • Social Media Management: Manage social media content and engagement on LinkedIn and X. Create and schedule posts, monitor trends, respond to audience interactions, and adjust strategies based on analytics.
  • Marketing Collateral and Brand Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital assets. Assisting with internal communications and company newsletters. Ensure brand consistency across all materials and work with designers and vendors to develop high-quality content.
  • Press Releases and Public Relations: Draft, edit, and distribute press releases to media and industry partners. Build relationships with key media contacts, coordinate media outreach, and monitor press coverage.
  • Budget and Vendor Management: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources. Oversee relationships with marketing agencies, designers, and event vendors to execute campaigns efficiently.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer behaviors, and opportunities for growth. Provide insights and recommendations to refine marketing strategy
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in marketing, event management, or a related role, preferably in the defense or B2B industry.
  • Proven experience in managing trade shows and corporate events, including booth design, vendor management, logistics, and on-site execution.
  • Strong understanding of event marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Solid experience in planning, developing, and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling content and promotional strategies.
  • Experience in tracking and analyzing marketing campaign performance to optimize engagement and ROI.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media channels, particularly LinkedIn and X. Ability to create engaging posts, track trends, respond to interactions, and adjust strategies based on data insights.
  • Strong understanding of brand consistency and experience overseeing the development of marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and digital assets.
  • Experience with internal communications, including company newsletters.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Strong organizational skills in vendor management and relationship building with agencies and designers.
  • Ability to conduct market research, identify industry trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in analyzing customer behaviors and competitors to refine marketing strategies.
  • Use of AI tools to augment their capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in the defense or technology sector is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with advanced marketing tools and platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics, social media scheduling tools).
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and content marketing strategies.
  • Strong creative and design sensibility, with the ability to oversee and contribute to high-quality marketing collateral.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in public relations, media relations, and crisis communication.
  • Experience managing large-scale press events or media outreach campaigns.
