The Insurance Producer's primary duties include selling new insurance accounts and retaining the current client base, which typically involves sales meetings with clients outside the office.

Responsibilities

  1. Expected to reach monthly/annual production goals.
  2. Creates sales plans, telemarketing, and sales activities to meet individual goals.
  3. Maintains good working relationships with insurance companies and other distributors of insurance products, as well as with the entire BayCoast Insurance team.
  4. Attends and actively participates in all required meetings.
  5. Follows proper processes and procedures for professional and quality output in the best interests of the customer and client.
  6. Stays informed of insurance industry developments and remains current with new insurance products and coverages.
  7. Conducts Account Reviews - Completes Account Reviews and contacts clients via phone call on 100% of assigned accounts each week, including:
  • Pre-call account review
  • Verifying contact information
  • Reviewing potential discounts and coverage gaps, including lines of business not written with the agency.
  • Sends follow-up emails or letters for clients who were not contacted during the initial outbound phone call. Prior to remarketing, determines the reason for premium increases, reviews alternate ways to decrease the premium through additional discounts, changes in billing plans, or increased deductibles. Discusses the repercussions of rewriting an account, treating remarkets like new business in terms of underwriting questions and gathering any other pertinent information.
  • Qualifications

    1. Maintain a professional knowledge of the business and keep up-to-date on industry trends and changes.
    2. Appropriately licensed and continuing education completed.
