Job Description
Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Remote Marketing Director for our client, an incredible museum dedicated to preserving the incredible history of an elite unit within the US military.  This is an exciting, remote, direct-hire opportunity. There will be approximately 4 weeks of annual travel requirements for this position!
The Marketing Director is a strategic leadership role that oversees brand management, public relations, digital strategy, website, marketing, and advertising for multiple locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledgeable in analytics, tracking, and measuring marketing campaign impact.
- Understanding of website design, search engine optimization (SEO), and website maintenance.
- Strong relationship-building skills, particularly with guests, members, donors, and board members as well as media representatives and influencers.
- Prepare and manage the annual marketing budget.
- Create and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other marketing materials.
- Lead the development of the Museumâ?™s digital presence, including website management, email marketing, and social media.
- Partner with curatorial and events coordinator to promote exhibitions, programs, and special events.
- Develop marketing strategies to increase attendance and engagement.
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate marketing into fundraising, membership, and sponsorship campaigns.
- Supervise and mentor the Junior Marketing Associate
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelorâ?™s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field required.Â
- 5 -10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on strategy development and execution.Â
- Museum experience a plus!
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This opportunity offers a salary of $110 - $120k annually plus a comprehensive benefits package. This is a remote opportunity but there will be up to 4 weeks of annual travel requirements.
