Job Title: Product Designer

Position Type: Full-time, Salaried
Position Overview
The Product Designer is responsible for generating specifications for our current and next generations of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
This position requires an individual with experience and skills turning functional and technical requirements into innovative, workable designs, which when developed will result in improved feature/functions and workflow for thousands of our users in 3,000 hospitals around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Translate user requirements into visually appealing and intuitive software solutions.
Create high-quality software designs, wireframes, and prototypes that align with project goals.
Ensure the scalability, maintainability, and usability of software designs.
Write use cases and detailed technical specifications.
Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to understand and communicate project requirements and objectives.
Consult with Product Manager and Programmers to clarify requirements and specifications and resolve issues that may arise during programming and testing.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging design technologies to continuously improve our design process.
Provide constructive feedback during design reviews to enhance the quality of design work.
Required Qualifications and Skills
3+ years related experience in a software design role.
Experience writing business systems functional and technical specifications.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or equivalent.
Strong grasp of user-centered design principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
Submission of a portfolio showcasing previous software design work is required.
Preferred Skills
Understanding of CMMS software use is valuable.
Understanding of Clinical Engineering processes and Facility Maintenance support in hospitals is a plus.
