Job Summary:
The VP of Marketing will play a key role in creating unforgettable and unique experiences for our customers by blessing their homes and collaboratively crafting fragrances. Using a data driven and analytical mindset, you will be responsible for customer acquisition and retention efforts, owning our eCommerce strategy, and executing innovative product launches. By aligning sales, marketing, and eCommerce, you will contribute to the company's core vision and maximize revenue growth. Your leadership, technical and strategic expertise, and creativity will inspire and empower our team to pursue innovative solutions while upholding our values. As a member of the senior leadership team, the VP of Marketing will truly own scaling the Marketing function and the value generated.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and hold accountable the sales, marketing, and ecommerce teams:
• Complete all People Management main job functions as set by executive leadership including, but not limited to, regular 1x1's, productive meeting leadership, reviews, and performance management (praises & coaching).
• Actively initiate team camaraderie & participates in culture building initiatives throughout company.
• Proactively contribute debates, concerns, and new ideas to executive leadership for discussion for enterprise sustainability.
Drive customer acquisition and retention across channels:
Execute comprehensive, data driven marketing strategies to attract and acquire new customers across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional marketing. Expand customer retention programs to increase customer loyalty and lifetime value, including loyalty programs, customer service initiatives, and targeted campaigns. Oversee eCommerce strategy and performance:
Collaborate with the web development and IT teams to enhance the online shopping experience, including site navigation, design, and functionality to optimize customer experience through our online channels. Lead product lifecycle and new launches:
Manage the product lifecycle including positioning, pricing, and promotional activities, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch analysis, to ensure the successful introduction and market acceptance of new products. Align sales, marketing, and eCommerce to further the company vision and revenue growth:
Implement strategies to align sales, marketing, and eCommerce efforts to bless households through candle craft, word, and deed and maximize revenue growth. Establish clear goals, metrics, and KPIs for each function to ensure accountability and performance tracking. Optimize customer journey for loyalty and conversion:
Optimize customer journey maps to identify customer needs, preferences, and pain points throughout the customer lifecycle. Identify and prioritize opportunities to optimize the customer journey for increased loyalty, engagement, and conversions.
Requirements
Required Qualifications/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field OR equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, and eCommerce leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving growth and revenue required.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing comprehensive marketing and sales strategies across various channels and customer segments required.
• Experience in significantly growing eCommerce strategy, performance, and optimization required.
• Experience in optimizing UI/UX to increase user engagement, satisfaction, conversion rates, and NPS required.
• Experience working with a company that implemented and successfully utilized the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track and analyze performance data to drive strategic decisions and initiatives.
• Fierce critical thinking & systems thinking abilities. Can see global connections to creatively problem solve.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate tasks to many others in a way that makes sense for their role and skill set.
• Ability to create value & make hard calls in executive leadership in a high-stakes environment. Can self-regulate public emotions to push forward with company goals & initiatives.
• Ability to exhibit the small business mindset, even as the business grows. Ability to work well with and lead a team in this at times ambiguous context.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer.
Environment Requirements:
On-site role working in an environment with various fragrances and scents.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel (2 - 3 trips annually at times).
