Job Title: Fulfilment Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

Works closely with the pharmacist to ensure the health and safety of patients. Supports the pharmacist by locating, dispensing, packing, labeling, and shipping orders in a timely manner following all laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures. Provides friendly customer service to patients and health care professionals.

Responsibilities

Function within the limits of the law and company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.

Clean and maintain equipment following daily, monthly, and annual procedures.

Be properly attired in clean scrubs and wear appropriate safety equipment as per company standard operating procedures.

Maintain a safe, clean workplace and demonstrate an understanding of emergency/disaster plans.

Receive and verify the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions.

Correctly read prescriptions, interpret physician intent, and process prescriptions in The Compounder system under Pharmacist supervision.

Work with the pharmacist to maintain ingredient, equipment, and batched product inventories at acceptable levels.

Stock the fulfillment area with finished products and necessary materials.

Prepare orders for pharmacist review prior to shipment.

Sort, stock, and label compounded medications.

Conduct oneself in a manner upholding the moral and ethical practice of the pharmacy.

Ensure medications are properly stored.

Provide prompt, friendly service to clients and handle patient complaints in a caring and efficient manner.

Perform other tasks and duties assigned by the Pharmacist Manager Fulfillment Division to assist in the smooth, efficient operation of the fulfillment area.

Support the pharmacist in the daily operations of the fulfillment area.

Complete administrative tasks as assigned.

Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to understand Microsoft Office software, QS-1, and The Compounder system.

Ability to operate basic office equipment such as copier, fax, and telephone.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience in pharmacy, retail pharmacy, stocking, and labeling and sorting compounded medications is preferred.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm or 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday rotations (minimum of 2 Saturdays a month). The pharmacy is currently undergoing an expansion project, opening up new locations, which provides opportunities for internal growth. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
