Overview

Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Coordinator assists in executing marketing, communication, and fund development strategies for the YMCA of Superior California. This role focuses on digital marketing efforts, including social media management, email marketing, app management, and website maintenance. The role also includes event coordination and administrative support to the Development Department.

Responsibilities

  • Support the vision and mission of the YMCA to inspire membership and community engagement
  • Manage social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Monitor social media analytics to track performance and present monthly analytics to the Director of Marketing & Communications to make data driven improvement
  • Create and distribute email marketing campaigns to promote YMCA programs, events, fundraising campaigns, and initiatives
  • Design and produce marketing materials such as flyers, posters, and digital graphics using Canva and similar tools
  • Assist in managing the YMCA's website, ensuring content is up-to-date and engaging
  • Utilize Google Grants and Google Ads to create and manage effective online advertising campaigns within budget constraints
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications to support special events, program launches, and member engagement activities
  • Perform administrative functions such as gift entry, monitoring and updating donor records, generating timely thank you letters
  • Event coordination including logistics, record keeping, vendor coordination, marketing and outreach
  • Represent the YMCA to external and internal audiences
  • All other duties as assigned by your supervisor
PERCENTAGE BREAKDOWN:
  • 50% Marketing and Communications
  • 40% Special Events
  • 10% Admin Support to Development
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital media, communications, or equivalent experience
  • Two years' prior experience in social media marketing, SEO/web analytics, or overall digital marketing
  • Knowledgeable in Google Grants/Ads systems and META Paid Advertising
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Canva, Airtable, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Respect for an ability to maintain donor confidentiality

Posted Salary Range

USD $18.50 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
