Primary Objective & Scope of Position: This role is responsible for developing platform-specific strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and business objectives. The Social Media Manager will oversee content creation, influencer and paid partnership collaborations, and community management while ensuring alignment with marketing goals. This role requires a strong understanding of digital trends, content production, and social media analytics. Essential Functions and Accountabilities: * Develop and execute a comprehensive organic social media content strategy, ensuring each platform (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, X, TikTok, and other) is leveraged effectively to meet business goals. * Lead the social media team in content development including user-generated content (UGC), paid partnerships, influencer collaborations, and content creation sessions (photography & video). * Conceptualize and execute content creation sessions, ensuring high-quality visual storytelling. * Manage and support paid partnerships, maintaining relationships with influencers and content creators while ensuring alignment with brand messaging. * Assist in managing paid social media efforts. * Monitor and optimize content performance, using analytics to refine strategies and maximize engagement across social platforms. * Create engaging, on-brand organic social media copy to maintain consistency across platforms. * Oversee the management of Slumberland store social media accounts, providing guidance and support to local teams. * Manage organic social media tools, including Hootsuite, and streamline content processes for efficiency. * Develop and maintain social media processes, tools, and structures to streamline workflow and improve efficiency. * Oversee program budgets, managing invoices, expenses, and ensuring financial accountability. Communication and Leadership: * Work closely with the marketing team and paid social media strategists to align social media efforts with broader brand and campaign objectives. * Partner with influencers and content creators, negotiating partnerships and ensuring effective collaboration. * Share marketing updates to the company through communication tools including Slumberland's internal video podcast. * Engage with cross-functional teams, including digital marketing, creative, and eCommerce, to enhance brand storytelling and digital presence. * Provide training and best practices to Slumberland store teams managing local social media accounts. * Stay informed on the latest trends, platform updates, and emerging tools, bringing innovative ideas to the brand's social strategy. * Use and support the operating excellence tools: strategy, work structure, tactical plans, and meeting compass. * Provide leadership and direction to direct reports, ensuring clear understanding of team objectives and individual responsibilities. * Mentor, coach, and develop team members to achieve their full potential, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Salary range $62,000-72,000Knowledge & Education Requirements: * 4+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing. * Strong knowledge of social media best practices, content trends, and platform-specific strategies. * Experience using Meta Business Platform; knowledge of paid social media strategies is a plus. * Proficiency in social media management tools like Hootsuite. * Excellent copywriting skills with experience crafting engaging social media posts. * Ability to produce and oversee photography and video shoots for content creation. * Strong budget management skills with experience in invoicing and expense reporting. Preferred Skills: * Experience working with influencers and managing brand partnerships. * Knowledge of analytics tools to track social media performance. * Familiarity with retail or eCommerce marketing strategies. * Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
