Robert Half is partnering with a leading global technology and media company in their search for a Senior UX Designer to help shape the future of books shopping and reading experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-visibility digital products that engage millions of readers worldwide.
Location: Seattle, WA (onsite)
Duration: 6 months w/ potential to extend
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $70-75/hour
As a Senior UX Designer, you will play a key role in enhancing discovery, shopping, and reading experiences across digital platforms. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, and product teams to define and evolve a scalable design system that supports seamless, engaging, and user-friendly interactions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, contributing to the future of digital reading and book shopping experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain a scalable design system that enhances literature shopping and reading experiences.
- Develop and document UI components, interaction patterns, and design guidelines to ensure a consistent user experience across platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design consistency and high-quality execution.
- Utilize customer feedback, data insights, and usability research to continuously improve design solutions.
- Create detailed design specifications to support seamless implementation by engineering teams.
- Advocate for best-in-class user experiences that make reading and book discovery more accessible and enjoyable.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in UX/UI and interaction design for web or software applications.
- Extensive experience in design systems, interaction design (IXD), and a deep understanding of Figma as a primary design tool.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of information architecture, usability principles, and scalable design systems.
- A portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions for digital shopping or content experiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Ability to prototype and iterate quickly in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or motion design tools is a plus.
- Background in corporate, tech, or media-driven digital environments is a plus.
