Essential Functions
- Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
- Lead, manage, supervise, and evaluate assigned programs/staff in the district
- Develop and monitor the department work plan; assign work activities, assign projects and programs, monitor workflow, and review work
- Oversee end-to end processes and implement process improvement
- Oversee the administration of policies and procedures
- Lead business activities including consultation, designing, and printing
- Develop and manage the department budget
- Forecast and oversee fund administration for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies
- Prepare bids and collaborate to coordinate the bid process for large or unusual printing projects contracted outside the school system
- Engage in vendor selection and award of printing contracts; monitor quality of contracted printed projects for quality, timeliness, etc.
- Develop cost estimates for projects performed at the Graphic Production Center
- Attend and participate in professional groups and committees
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with numerous outside vendors and suppliers
- Create an inclusive environment with positive communication/public relations
- Participate in professional development workshops and leadership training
- Perform related work as assigned or required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Comprehensive in-depth knowledge of inkjet production output devices, wide format print production devices and high-volume identification card printing devices
- Comprehensive in-depth knowledge of print finishing processes including but not limited to perfect binding, folding, and cutting
- Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design software applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of print production management techniques
- Knowledge of printing management information system (MIS) software
- Knowledge of software used in a centralized production environment
- Ability to lead multiple large-scale projects at the same time
- Ability to learn and use specialized tools, equipment or software related to business needs
- Ability to develop and monitor a budget
- Ability to direct and evaluate the work of others
- Ability to implement local, state, and federal rules, guidelines, and procedures into daily business operations
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to reason, make judgments, and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to employ positive communication skills in all settings/mediums

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of five (5) years' work experience with in-plant graphic design and printing required
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
