Adaptation and Accessibility: Collaborate with educators and support staff to adapt curriculum materials and learning environments to meet the unique needs of students with visual impairments. Braille Brilliance: Deliver instruction in Braille and other alternative communication methods, ensuring that students have access to educational materials and resources. Assessment and Intervention: Conduct assessments to determine students' strengths, needs, and goals, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies to support their progress. Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, therapists, and parents, to develop and implement comprehensive support plans that promote student success. Community Engagement: Foster partnerships with families, community organizations, and vision-related agencies to enhance support services and resources for students with visual impairments. Qualifications: Texas Tenacity: Hold a valid Texas teaching certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), and demonstrate a passion for serving students in the Lone Star State. Experience and Expertise: Bring previous experience working with students with visual impairments, and possess a strong understanding of best practices in vision education and intervention. Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues, and collaborate collaboratively to support student success.
