We are seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Specialist with a proven track record of implementing and evaluating marketing communications and public relations strategic plans. The ideal candidate will bring 7-10+ years of experience in marketing communications or public relations, strong project management skills, and expertise using AP Style. The candidate will play a key role in creating scalable marketing solutions that empower the sales and customer services teams to achieve annual revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer-Facing/Interaction - interviews, trade show booth supporting/interaction -

Strategic Thinking and Planning

  • Content Strategy Development: Ability to create and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Campaign Planning: Skills in planning, implementing, and measuring multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Audience Analysis: Proficiency in understanding target audiences and tailoring messages to meet their needs.

Content Creation and Management

  • Writing and Editing: Exceptional ability to craft compelling, error-free content for various platforms, adhering to AP Style or other editorial standards.
  • Content Management Systems (CMS): Expertise in managing and optimizing websites (e.g., HubSpot, WordPress).
  • SEO Knowledge: Strong understanding of search engine optimization principles to create and refine web content.

Public Relations Expertise

  • Media Relations: Ability to build and nurture relationships with journalists and influencers.
  • Crisis Communication: Proficiency in managing brand reputation during crises.
  • Press Materials: Skilled in creating press releases, media kits, and PR campaigns.

Digital Marketing Skills

  • SEO and SEM: Knowledge of SEO best practices and search engine marketing techniques.
  • Analytics and Metrics: Proficiency in measuring and analyzing marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics or HubSpot analytics.
  • Social Media Management: Experience in managing and growing a brand’s social media presence.

Project and Vendor Management

  • Project Coordination: Strong project management skills to ensure timely delivery of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Ability to manage external vendors, such as creative agencies, SEO specialists, and printing companies, effectively.
  • Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Event and Trade Show Expertise

  • Event Planning: Skills in organizing trade shows, conferences, and other promotional events.
  • Logistics Management: Ability to handle event logistics, booth setup, and collateral creation.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Proficiency in assessing event success through metrics and ROI analysis.

Collaboration and Independence

  • Teamwork: Effective at working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and leadership teams.
  • Autonomy: Self-motivated to manage projects independently with minimal supervision.

Analytical and Creative Thinking

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and create innovative solutions.
  • Creative Campaigns: Skilled in brainstorming and executing impactful marketing initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Comfort with using analytics to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI.

Technical Proficiency

  • Marketing Automation Tools: Familiarity with platforms like HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot.
  • Email Marketing: Proficiency in creating and optimizing email campaigns.

Attention to Detail

  • Strong proofreading and editing skills to ensure high-quality, consistent messaging.
  • Ability to maintain brand guidelines across all communications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in marketing communications, content strategy, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and digital marketing principles.
  • Proven experience in managing public relations initiatives and trade show strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with AP style and a strong eye for detail in written communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in B2B marketing environments.
  • Knowledge of HubSpot, Salesforce or marketing and automation tools.
