Marketing Director for a sustainable childrenswear brand. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a start-up environment as the team is lean.


Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Oversee and manage the marketing team and contractors, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to marketing personnel and external partners, fostering a collaborative environment.
  2. Digital Presence Improvement:
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the brand’s digital footprint.
    • Oversee website optimization, SEO practices, and user experience improvements.
  3. Brand Management:
    • Maintain and evolve brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels.
    • Guide the design and execution of branding materials and visual assets.
  4. Marketing Initiatives:
    • Drive both paid and organic marketing efforts, including advertising campaigns, influencer partnerships, affiliate and promotional activities.
    • Monitor and adjust strategies based on performance metrics and market trends.
  5. Content Marketing:
    • Oversee content strategy and creation, ensuring relevance and engagement with the target audience.
    • Manage content calendars and coordinate with photographers, writers, designers, and other content creators.
  6. Email and Social Campaigns:
    • Strategize and execute email marketing campaigns and social media strategies working with contractors to execute.
    • Analyze performance and optimize campaigns for better reach and engagement.
  7. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Provide regular reports on marketing performance, including insights and recommendations.
    • Utilize analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  8. Ecommerce Support:
    • Partner with the Director of Operations to oversee ecommerce support.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive ecommerce strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
    • Oversee the optimization of the ecommerce website for improved user experience, conversion rates, and SEO.
    • Collaborate with web developers and designers to ensure site functionality, performance, and visual appeal.
    • Analyze product performance and adjust strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  9. Weekly Marketing Meeting and Updates:
    • Provide a summary of progress and key activities performed, including team management, campaign status, and strategic adjustments.
  10. Monthly Reports:
    • Comprehensive reports detailing marketing performance, including KPIs, campaign results, and ROI.
    • Strategic recommendations based on data analysis and market trends.
    • Develop and present a strategic review of marketing efforts, including progress towards goals and adjustments for future planning.
  11. Brand and Campaign Plans:
    • Deliver detailed plans for branding initiatives, content marketing, and campaign strategies.
    • Include timelines, budgets, and performance targets.
  12. Content and Creative Assets:
    • Work on the creation of key marketing materials, including digital content, branding visuals, and promotional assets.
  13. Optimization Recommendations:
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving digital presence, content effectiveness, and overall marketing strategy.
  14. SMS Campaign Strategy + Implementation:
    • Results to be included in the reporting.
  15. Influencer Program:
    • Affiliates + gifting.
    • Prepare monthly list (10-15 per month) for founder approval + outreach and coordination + follow up to make sure they are posting according to directive/guideline.
  16. Photoshoot Coordination:
    • Coordinate smaller and bigger campaigns: mood-board + attendance & directions pre/during/ post production.
  17. Events/Collaborations:
    • Creation of invitation aligning with brand guidelines, ideation of the event + outreach/execution.
  18. Social Media:
    • Develop strategy for the social media platforms to optimize DTC: assets, content, grid to maximize conversion and engagement.

Work Conditions:
4 days in office. Light travel/light work on the weekend for events (about 3 to 4 times a year).
Compensation:
Discretionary yearly bonus based on performance. Benefits: medical.
Salary: DOE: $130k-150k
