POSITION SUMMARY

The Creative Operations Project Manager is a visionary leader who combines artistic vision with strategic project management, ensuring innovative ideas are transformed into impactful deliverables. This role thrives at the crossroads of creativity and efficiency, overseeing the development of creative projects from concept to completion while managing timelines, resources, and budgets. Acting as the central hub for creative workflows, they prioritize and traffic projects, ensuring tasks are delegated effectively and deadlines are met to ensure high-quality, impactful results. With a deep understanding of creative processes, design principles, and industry tools, they adeptly balance organizational goals and brand standards while adapting to shifting demands. Collaborating with all departments, they ensure creative solutions meet cross-functional needs, align with key business objectives, and support organizational initiatives. This role ensures that every project is accomplished by priority, stays on track, and exceeds expectations, delivering highly effective creative that aligns with the organization’s vision. This role demands a blend of organizational expertise, creative understanding, and leadership to ensure that all creative projects are delivered efficiently and at the highest quality.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the creative process, ensuring an efficient flow of projects through the team by managing workloads, priorities, and deadlines. Act as a liaison between creative teams and stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned and communication is clear.

• Plan, manage, and execute creative projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, and timelines. Develop and oversee detailed project plans, including schedules, task assignments, milestones, and deliverables.

• Ensure that all creative outputs align with the vision and strategic direction set by the Director of Creative Operations, providing guidance to teams and facilitating collaboration to bring the vision to life effectively.

• Act as a brand ambassador ensuring all creative deliverables meet brand standards, stakeholder expectations, and project objectives by reviewing work at key stages of development and providing creative feedback to maintain consistency and quality.

• Establish and maintain processes for traffic management, prioritizing incoming requests, and reallocating resources as needed to meet shifting demands. Track progress and resolve roadblocks to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards. Proactively identify resource gaps and recommend solutions, including freelance or agency support when necessary.

• Serve as the primary point of contact between creative teams, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to manage expectations and provide updates on project progress. Assess project needs and assign tasks based on team capacity, strengths, and expertise.

• Coordinate, review and approve assets for credit union monthly statements, both digital and traditional.

• Provide project management and marketing expertise support to critical credit union functions including the credit union’s charitable foundation and business development unit.

• Coordinate and manage creative content for digital displays across the organization by collaborating with the creative and internal communications teams to develop, manage, and update visually engaging, brand-aligned messaging that supports key initiatives, company announcements, and employee engagement efforts.

• Serve as a backup designer for the creative team by producing high-quality designs for quick-turnaround tasks, including logo creation, sponsorship advertisements, copy edits, and marketing collateral.

• Facilitate regular status meetings, creative reviews, and feedback loops to maintain transparency and alignment.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Exceptional project management and organizational skills with careful attention to detail.

• Possesses a keen creative eye, able to identify and describe quality creative work.

• Ability to articulate challenging-to-convey topics such as the psychology behind creative feedback.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Project Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 5+ years working in project management within a professional creative environment.

• Significant experience and comfortability working with cross-functional teams, both internal and external including creative, marketing, operations teams, and agency partners.

• Familiarity with creative processes, design principles, and brand management.

• Proven excellence with productivity tools including Jira and Smartsheet.

• Knowledge and experience with the Agile working philosophy.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

• Familiarity with the financial services industry a plus.

• Comfortable working in a Mac environment.


WORK ARRANGEMENT: The working arrangement for this position is hybrid. Hybrid work is an opportunity to find the right balance between working in the office and remotely, especially if it supports individual success and the needs of our organization. Hybrid schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business unit needs and may vary by department.
