POSITION SUMMARY
Sitting at the intersection of traditional graphic design and motion graphics, the Digital Media & Motion Designer brings static visuals to life, adding movement and energy to create more immersive and engaging brand experiences. This role will transform creative briefs into highly engaging visual content by combining graphics, animation, video, audio, and interactive elements to create impactful digital experiences across key digital marketing channels, including display advertising, social media, websites, email marketing, and in-branch digital screens. This role ensures that all multimedia assets align with Lighthouse Credit Union’s brand standards and marketing objectives, delivering high-quality content that resonates with our audience while staying up to date with the latest multimedia technologies, design trends, and animation techniques to continuously enhance content effectiveness and visual appeal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design & Motion Graphics: Creates eye-catching static and motion graphics, animations, videos, and digital assets that enhance marketing campaigns and member engagement. Utilizes cutting-edge animation techniques, typography, and visual storytelling to create dynamic content that captures attention and drives engagement.
• Omnichannel Content Creation: Develops assets for multiple digital platforms, including display advertising, social media, websites, email marketing, in-branch digital screens, and mobile experiences. Creates dynamic content for in-branch screens, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for visitors. Develops interactive graphics, animated display ads, and infographics to enhance digital engagement, along with animated videos for financial education that simplify complex concepts into clear, compelling visuals.
• Storyboarding & Concept Development: Translates marketing objectives and creative briefs into high-quality visual narratives by developing storyboards, wireframes, and design concepts that guide graphic design, animation, video, and interactive content production. Ensures storytelling and design elements align with marketing objectives, audience engagement goals, and Lighthouse Credit Union’s brand identity and strategic vision.
• Brand Consistency: Ensures all creative assets maintain a consistent look, feel, and tone across all marketing channels.
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: Works closely with the marketing team, and other internal stakeholders to execute strategic campaigns and creative initiatives.
• Trend Analysis & Innovation: Stays up to date on emerging design trends, animation techniques, and new digital media platforms to enhance content effectiveness.
• Project Management & Execution: Manages multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and adjusting to shifting priorities as needed.
• Optimization & Performance Tracking: Works with the marketing team to analyze content performance metrics, adjusting designs as needed for engagement and effectiveness.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Motion Graphics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in graphic design, animation, and motion graphics.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other motion design tools.
• Strong foundation in graphic design, paired with expertise in animation and motion design, and a passion for creating visually compelling storytelling.
• Illustration experience a plus • Experience with video production and editing preferred.
• Experience with social media content creation, web-based animations, and interactive digital experiences.
• Knowledge and comfortability with the Agile working philosophy.
• Familiarity or experience with the financial services industry a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Comfortable working in a Mac environment.
PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT
Must present a portfolio showcasing a strong blend of graphic design, motion graphics, animation, and digital content, demonstrating their ability to create engaging, high-quality visuals across multiple marketing channels.
WORK ARRANGEMENT: The working arrangement for this position is hybrid. Hybrid work is an opportunity to find the right balance between working in the office and remotely, especially if it supports individual success and the needs of our organization. Hybrid schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business unit needs and may vary by department.
