JOB SUMMARY : Manage and enhance internal communication strategies that align to core values, vision and mission, and CCSD Strategic Plan. Work closely with departments, schools, and other members of the Communications Office to create and implement communications plans that achieve collaboratively set objectives and goals. Develop stories and create visual content that informs audiences about the ways CCSD prepares students for successful futures and contributes to a stronger community. Manages districtwide newsletters to staff, families, and community. Play key support role in crisis communications.

Design systems and strategies to streamline and strengthen internal communications toward the goal of informing staff and community about core values, mission and vision, and strategic plan goals. Daily 15% 2.
Develop stories and create visual content that informs audiences about the ways CCSD prepares students for successful futures and contributes to a stronger community. Daily 15% 3.
Serve as liaison to departments and schools to determine communication needs and create communication plans aligned to goals and objectives. Weekly 20% 4.
Create content that informs and engages audiences around the work of the CCSD Strategic Plan, key strategies, and celebrations. Weekly 15% 5.
Manage districtwide newsletters to staff, families, and community, collecting information about key initiatives, projects, and events from departments and district leadership. Weekly 10% 6.
Provide support for Crisis Communications, including sending messages through district's mass communications platform. Weekly 10% 7.
Maintain list of school-based and districtwide events for Superintendent, District Leadership Team, and Board of Education calendars. Weekly 5% 8.
Create opportunities to collect feedback from schools and departments, as well as stakeholders, and develop metrics for measuring success of internal communication strategies and to improve supports. Monthly 5% 9.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Daily 5%

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired. Criminal background check and fingerprinting required Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English, marketing, or similar field Three (3) years of professional work experience in communications, journalism, public relations, English, marketing, or similar field Exceptional relationship-building, strategic planning, facilitation, and project-management skills necessary to organize a variety of stakeholders around common goals Experience with creating and implementing communications plans, creating compelling content, writing for specific audiences, and building relationships Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal relations skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS : The physical demands, mental functions, cognitive capacities, and work environment factors required to perform a position's essential functions.
